64-bit mobile SoC from MediaTek

After the 8-core processor codenamed MT6595, MediaTek company also announced the MT6732, its first 64-bit SoC. The chip has four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and the Mali T760 GPU with support for OpenGL 3.0 and OpenCL 1.2.

 

In addition, the MT6732 has an integrated 4G LTE modem with support for FDD and TDD networks as well as HSPA+, TD-SCDMA and EDGE. There is also support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, and the company boasts the multimedia capabilities of the chip as a standard support for 1080p video (recording and playback), an integrated image processor for camera resolution up to 13 MP and ClearMotion and MiraVision technologies to increase the quality of taken images.

Complete MediaTek MT6732 platform will be commercially available in the third quarter of this year, while by the end of 2014. we could see first mobile device based on this SoC on the market.
