Android Silver to replace Google's Nexus line

Reading time is around minutes.

Potentially bad news have arrived for all those who are waiting for the Nexus 6 or some other new device from the line - Google decided to stop their business with the Nexus line. Although information is still far from an official confirmation, the source is very reliable - @evleaks.

Rumors about the demise of the Nexus line have been around for some time, and the latter is just another (unofficial) confirmation. Instead of the Nexus line, Google will reportedly launch Android Silver program. Leading manufacturers of devices that meet certain conditions will be Google's partners in the program. It is believed that the conditions will be restrictions of the pre-installed software and modification, and the obligation of issuing upgrades of the OS. In return, Google will pay part of the cost of marketing.

According to the same source, Android Sliver program will be launched in February next year.

Will you miss the Nexus line?
