E-ink smartphone from Onyx

Written by

Reading time is around minutes.

The Chinese company Onyx with a strong Polish subsidiary, which specializes in the manufacture of electronic book reader has announced the launch of its first smartphone. The device is called MIDIA InkPhone and it will have a display diagonal of 4.3 inches crafted in e-ink technology, which will facilitate the autonomy of up to two weeks without connecting the charger.

These will be lower end mobile phones as you could presume. They will work with the cheaper Rockchip processor, with 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB of internal memory. Although primarily intended for lovers of reading e-books, this device, as announced, will not have support for Google Play or for the Amazon app to download electronic publications.

It will arrive in April to German and Polish markets, at the price of 140 euros.
