HP marked lower losses than expected

HP in the final quarter of this fiscal year achieved revenues of 29.1 billion dollars. This result is a billion dollars better when compared to analysts' expectations.

However, the result is a 3-percent drop compared to the same period a year earlier. Earnings in the amount of $1.4 billion represents an improvement compared to nearly seven billion loss in the period a year earlier. At the level of the entire fiscal year HP generated 112 billion dollars in revenue, and earnings of 5.1 billion dollars.

Five of the six HP department recorded a decline in revenue, and growth was recorded only in the department for business users.
