HTC has released the results for the final quarter of the 2012. Although this is generally the best quarter for sales for all those who deal with consumer electronics, with HTC the situation is nowhere near good. Looks like they were serious when they said that the worst is behind them, since the results can hardly be any worse then they are.

Taiwanese producers during the last quarter reported earnings of only $34.5 million. This result is as much as 91% lower than last year, and also the worst quarterly results since 2004. Revenues during the quarter totaled $2.7 billion, and after the announcement of financial results, HTC's shares went down 4%.

HTC has launched an Android smartphone named Droid DNA during the last quarter which has a five-inch diagonal and a resolution of 1080p. They also released two Windows Phone devices (8X and 8S). In these three devices, HTC placed their hopes that a positive shift would be felt in the current quarter.
