Motorola plans to make $50 smartphone

Written by

Reading time is around minutes.

According to the latest information coming from the Motorola's Dennis Woodside, they are currently preparing plans for the first budget smartphone.

The cheapest smartphone that Motorola currently has on offer is the Moto G, which is sold in the US market for $180, while in Europe it is necessary to pay $222 for the same. Despite such prices Motorola claims that sales are going great, but they are aware that there are a large number of people around the world where the problem is to cash out such a sum for a new smartphone. A new opportunity for earning Motorola sees in exactly those markets, on which they would present a cheap smartphone which price would not be higher than $50.

For now there is no information as to when this might happen, or what would the specifications of such smartphone be.
