Reuters reporter who visited this week HTC's factory in Taiwanese Taoyuan City faced a closed door of one of the production lines and the official notification that the drive is not in operation.

This is one of the four production lines that HTC used to manufacture mobile devices, and accounting for at least one-fifth of total production capacity. After completing the last quarter with a loss and poor sales results, it seems that HTC started to decrease their own production and rotate to outsourcing.

In an official statement addressed to the Taiwanese Stock Exchange, the company denied permanent closure and sale of plant and announced that further information for investors as well as the latest financial indicators will be announced on 5th of November. However, the temporary closure and seizure of production were not denied.
