Google's autonomous cars are safer

Reading time is around minutes.

Last week in California a conference titled RoboBusiness took place and one of the speakers was also Google's first man in charge of the development of autonomous cars.

According to Chris Urmson, Google's autonomous cars are, despite initial problems, still safer in traffic than cars driven by man. Those claims are based on the results of a test conducted by Google on their cars on the roads of Nevada where cars Lexus and Prius crossed over 500,000 miles without problems.

According to the results, autonomous vehicles were more closely involved in the traffic and compared to vehicles managed by the man, had a much smaller number of situations in which it was necessary to react in panic.
