Motorola has announced the launch of their new smartphone Moto X. Conference at which the device will be presented is scheduled for 1st August and will take place in New York.

Invitations for the event have already been sent out, and somewhat unusual, except for the name of the device, the invitation displays the device. Accordingly, Moto X will be available in black and silver. Unofficially, previously available information says that the smartphone will be powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, will have 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of permanent flash memory. The camera will be based on a ten megapixel resolution sensor.

The launch of the device is important for Motorola, where the situation is not rosy. Google's acquisition of the company has not helped much, but the search giant was primarily interested in Motorola's patents. In the last quarter, Motorola recorded a revenue of one billion dollars, and the operational loss of $342 million.
