Reading time is around minutes.

A day that many have eagerly expected has arrived and Samsung has officialy unveiled ther new flagship, Galaxy S5. The device has a full HD screen of 5.1 inches, as well as new software that helps it to achieve the proper screen brightness and contrast in different conditions. S5 uses quad core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.5GHz processor and Adreno 330 graphics processor.

The device is equipped with a new powerful camera with a 16 MP resolution, which among other things emphasizes fast autofocus. Emphasis is also placed on the high-speed connection to the Internet. S5 supports the fifth generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi and 2X2 MIMO. For those who want an even faster connection there is Download Booster to accelerate data transfer.

Like the last iPhone 5S, the new Galaxy S5 also has the ability to scan a fingerprint that allows you unlock the device without passwords. In addition it is resistant to dust and water by IP67 standard. Compared to the previous generation S5 has improved battery which can with a single charge allow user to surf for 10 hours, or watch video for 12.  Galaxy S5 will be released for sale worldwide in April of this year.

[Ed - many people were expecting Samsung to bring more to the table than what was seen in the S5 and rightly so. Samsung has criticized Apple in the past for their lack of real innovation and now find themselves the target of the same cirticism. We have to agree that many will pan this phone, but considering the options out there, we are not sure that it will really lose Samsung any sales.]
