Samsung is shutting down Music Hub

Written by

Reading time is around minutes.

Samsung has quietly started shutting down its Music Hub service for streaming and purchase of music from Samsung which is intended to compete with popular services such as iTunes and Spotify. However, they did not manage to compete with them so they decided the time has come to say goodbye.

Users of Galaxy mobile phones and tablets are warned that the service will shut down on July 1st. Stored songs will be available after that date, most likely via 7Digital platform on which Music Hub relied. Users are informed about the fact that they can move to Milk, Samsung subscription service similar to the radio and in they way continue their music experience with Samsung products.

Music Hub service was active for less than three years, and users were able to create their own playlists with up to 200 songs and listen to a rich catalog containing several million individual songs.
