Shuttle launches new Omninas NAS devices

Shuttle has presented two interesting home NAS devices from Omninas line, models KD21 and KD22. Solutions have elegant aluminum housing with space for up to two 2.5 or 3.5 inch disks and SATA interface.

Shuttle in their NAS installed fast ARM processors running at 1Ghz in KD21 model and 1.2 GHz in KD22, that allows simultaneous operation of all pre-installed services. There is also 512 MB of RAM and declared transfer rate of up to 110 MB/s for reading and 75 MB/s for writing data. Omninas KD21 and KD22 have integrated FTP server, programmable turning on and off, automatic data transfer from a connected digital camera, automatica download of firmware updates, support for Wake-on LAN and the ability which allows both embedded disks to work in single mode for greater capacity.



With classic (Gigabit) LAN interface model KD22 has a built-in Wi- Fi network, while both devices offer support to transfer data from mobile devices running Android and iOS, and USB 3.0 connectors. Recommended prices are 133€ for KD21 and 156 euros for KD22 The sales should start in November this year.
