Nokia cancels thier 8.3-inch Lumia tablet

by on17 December 2013 1744 times

Early last month, news that Nokia is working on a smaller version of the Lumia tablet leaked yo thr internet under the codename Illusionist. However, far from the high-ranking source within the company came news that they were indeed developing a 8.3 inch tablet, but for unknown reasons that idea was abandoned.

Prior to this news, it was expected that Lumia 2520's little brother would arrive to market during the first quarter of 2014. Some of the technical specifications were also known.

For now there is still no official confirmation about the fate of this model, as well as the further development of the supply of tablets within Nokia. Cancellation of smaller tablet comes as a surprise, since it was thought that the Lumia 2520 was just the beginning, and that this company, now under Microsoft, will continue with the development of more tablets based on Windows RT.
