Razer without a doubt has significant customer interest in gaming tablet Edge. The company has opened preorders for Edge earlier this month, and Razer’s CEO Min-Liang Tan reports that they already sold out the initial stock of higher priced Edge Pro. “We've had to stop taking pre-orders for the Razer Edge Pro as the pre-orders have gone beyond our forseeable manufacturing capacity (i.e. all stock is sold out for the months to come). We're doing all we can to get manufacturing lines up and running so please bear with us.“ Min-Liang Tan said.

They sold the devices for the next few months, but Tan notes that the basic version of the Edge is still available, but only in very limited quantities, and you can get it here. Razer is already working to increase production capacity to solve these shortages, and make them as short as possible.

Edge Pro model for $1,299 is a tablet with a 10 inch screen, Intel Core i7 processor and a 128 gigabyte SSD, whereas the cheaper Edge ($ 999) is equipped with the Core i5 chip and 64 gigabyte SSD. Tablets have the full version of Windows 8, and buyers can additionally obtain a large number of docks and controllers for gaming, as well as physical keyboard for comfortable operation.
