Resident Evil 4 reborn in HD

Written by

Reading time is around minutes.

Next week, Capcom will release, via Steam, Resident Evil 4 HD on sale, upgraded and graphically enhanced version of the fourth chapter of the popular franchise.

Originally, Resident Evil 4 appeared back in January of 2005, but the publishers have decided to make a few more dollars presenting the modernized versions. Anyway, the game takes us into a European rural backwater, where we will play the role of Special Agent Leon S. Kennedy to seek kidnapped daughter of the US president and fight against hordes of zombies in various shapes.

The authors say that the graphics in the game are fully adapted to today's expectations, and they even added a number of other features such as Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, support for controllers and so on.

[Ed - This is an interesting deision by Capcom and one that could bring the Resident Evil 4 gaming experience to a new generation of players. We saw something similar when the original Half Life was re-released with dramatically improved graphics under the Black Mesa project. We do expect to see a similar response IF Capcom does the right thing and prices it so that a large group of people will grab it and get interested in the game series again (free would be good)...]
