After the public release of the NSA’s PRISM program we are hearing that they have an open account with at least one cell service provider. The provider that we know about so far is Verizon and the NSA has quite the hold on them. It seems that Verizon must hand over the metadata for all calls made inside the US as well as calls that are to destinations outside the US. This type of wholesale spying is being granted under section 215 of the Patriot Act. These requests have to be processed by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court with DoJ oversight to prevent abuse. At least that is how the system is supposed to work.
Microsoft just cannot get out of their own way. First they blunder with Windows RT and how they handled its introduction with partners and developers. What do Apple, Microsoft (Including Skype), Google (YouTube), Facebook, Yahoo, and PalTalk have in common? Well they all participate knowingly in one rather invasive program run by the NSA under the guise of National Security. The program called PRISM was started in 2007 in the last moths of the George W. Bush’s administration the program creates a cooperative system with the listed companies to allow the NSA to query systems for information. Ostensibly the program is intended to protect the US from foreign threats including terrorism, but it has such a wide license that it has already been shown to have captured data about US citizens. To make matters worse certain members of Congress knew about the project back in 2007 and even granted the DOJ the power to force companies to comply in 2008.

Dell at the fair Computex introduced the XPS 11, to be precise the prototype version of it. It is a computer with a screen diagonal of 11.6-inch in ultra-high resolution which is 2560x1440 pixels.

Intel has officially unveiled the Thunderbolt 2, the second generation of fast interface for connecting computers with a variety of peripheral devices. Thunderbolt 2 is a more advanced controller codenamed Falcon Ridge, while the cables and connectors remain the same as they were in previous editions.
Asus at the Computex show introduced two new all-in-one computers. Computers come with a 23 or 27 inch screen, and are equipped with the latest generation of Intel processors (codenamed Haswell).
Unofficial photos of HTC's smartphone called HTC One Mini appeared on the internet, after rumors that were circulating for some time. Photos were published by Estonian blog Forte and on them we can see that thr device's design is very similar to One, but of course something smaller.

On top of the mountain of evidence that Apple coordinated the eBook price fixing deal with five publishers and the news that Apple iOS devices are susceptible to malware via their charging systems we are also hearing that Samsung has won a product ban against some Apple products from the International Trade Commission.
Although to some it will seem that the new status on Eidos Montreal's twitter page makes no sense at all, those who follow the gaming industry will know they Eidos is preparing something great. Specifically, the phrase "Are YOU ready for The Fall?" is apparently associated with recently registered domain for Deus Ex: The Fall which belongs to Square Enix, the company owned by Eidos.

For those of you out there that might be laboring under the illusion that Apple products are safe and secure we have some bad news for you. Someone has developed a method of poisoning iPhones, iPads, iPods, well basically anything running iOS, through the use of their charging systems. This means that someone could sell you a compromised charger and take over your phone. This type of attack is hardware based and is almost impossible to get rid of; simply resetting the phone is not going to do it. This is also not the first time that someone has used Apple hardware to create a persistent infection. Not all that long ago someone showed how easy it was to infect the batteries on the MacBook and MacBook Pro. Even the Apple Bluetooth keyboard has been used to slip malware into Apple products.
