New Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), has a 7 inch touchscreen display in WSVGA resolution (1024  600 pixels, 169 PPI), and contains a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM.

On the back side there is a camera capable of taking photos in a resolution of 3 MP, while video conferencing uses a 1.3 MP front. The device comes in two versions, one with 8 GB and second with 16 GB of internal memory, expandable with microSD cards up to 64 GB.

Other features of this device include lithium-ion battery of 4000 mAh, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, A-GPS, Glonass, accelerometer, and support for 3G (HSPA + 21/7, 76 Quad 850/900/1900/2100) and 2G (EDGE/GPRS Quad 850/900/1800/1900) networks.

Briefly speaking, the new mini tablet is nothing special, and we must admit that we are still expecting a bit more from him. Even though the 1.2 GHz processor will add a bit more power and allow better performance of multimedia content there is still a lot of room for improvement. On the other hand 30 grams less weight and 9.9 mm instead of 10.5 mm thick compared to the Galaxy Tab 2 makes it slightly more elegant by design.
