After the smartphones presented at CES, Sony has a tablet from the Z Xperia product line in preparation. Official information on the specifications is still missing, but unofficial ones indicate a very competitive hardware worthy of the Xperia Z mark.

According to available information, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be based on a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ8064) running at 1.5 GHz with Adreno 320 graphics and 2 GB of RAM. This will be running Android Jelly Bean 4.1. The tablet will have 32 GB of flash memory, while the 10.1-inch diagonal screen supposedly has a resolution of 1,920x1,200 pixels.

The same sources state that the Xperia Z will have a rear 8 megapixel camera (2 megapixel front), support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and LTE and battery capacity of 6000 mAh. The Xperia tablet to Z, should have, like the smartphone Xperia Z, a water and dust resistant casing which is only 6.9 millimeters thick. The device could be officially introduced in Japan as early as next week, while European customers will most likely be shown the new tablet at MWC in late February.
