Sony to sell the PlayStation 4 at a $60 Loss

As we wait for next-gen consoles to become available, lets not forget about the current ones. Currently this generation of consoles sold for several years now with relatively high losses that producers would make up only after every owner bought a few new games.

With the advent of a new generation of this trend is supposed to change, as Sony confirmed that PlayStation 4 will be sold with small losses (about 60 USD) which will be reimbursed after the players buy the first game and a PlayStation Plus subscription. Even if the player decides not to buy extra content directly after the purchase of the game (almost impossible), PS4 will be profitable much earlier than it was the case with its predecessor.

Unlike Sony, Microsoft has recently announced that the Xbox One will be sold without any losses, which is not too surprising since the console itself costs 100 USD or 100 EUR more than the PlayStation 4, depending on the market.
