Sony increased estimates for PS4 sales

It is now clear to everyone that Microsoft itself has not made any good promotion with the launch of Xbox One at E3, and many would say that they hurt themselves more with the decisions related to this console. In this sense, the Wall Street Journal believes that the increase in Sony's internal estimates of PS4 sales in the first months may be more Microsoft's fault than Sony's.

Microsoft just cannot get out of their own way. First they blunder with Windows RT and how they handled its introduction with partners and developers. After that they confused and annoyed consumers by making a drastic shift in the Window 8 UI. They did all of this despite consumer feedback that showed they probably should have stuck with a more familiar UI and OS. Now Microsoft is at it again as we find out more about the Xbox One’s data connection need and the trading or reselling of games.

Preorders for Piston started

Company Xi3 started taking pre-order for the console named Piston, one of the first Steam Box consoles optimized for Valve’s Steam. The console's design is similar to the company's computer X7A Modular Computer and it is located in a very compact housing with a distinctive design, and the great thing is that console’s hardware can be upgraded.

Nintendo Wii U to launch together with 23 titles

As the official release date of Nintendo's new console comes close they decided to spice things up a little and announce a lineup of 23 games that will launch together with the console on November 18. We already wrote about some of the titles they are going to release and it will be a total sum of more than 50 games, at least until April 2013, then we can expect additional titles.  There will be few very interesting big names at the day of launch, like Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Transformers Prime, Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U.

A while ago we posted an article describing the alleged Xbox 720 “Durango” developer’s console, and the efforts being made by a certain person to sell the console on the Assemblers Game Forum. Last night someone did in fact sell the console to a very fortunate soul on EBay for a final price of $20,100 USD. The question is; how likely is it that this is the actual console and not some opportunistic scam?
