Users demanding that Sony release the promised KitKat update for Xperia SP
At the end of the last year, the owner of the Galaxy Nexus Max Duckwitz via the website change.org launched a petition to get an upgrade to the latest version of KitKat Android operating system for his smartphone, and he succedded in his intention.
Sony Xperia Z1 launched at IFA
After the spectacular performances at CES and later at MWC which secured them place among the best-selling brands of mobile devices, Sony is planning to apply the same recipe at the upcoming IFA in Berlin. So for the next week they scheduled a huge premiere, immediately before the start of the Berlin Fair, at which they will present next flagship smartphones, code-named Xperia Honami, real name (probably) Xperia Z1.
External camera for Xperia smartphones
Lately we have more and more rumors circulating about Sony's new smartphone Sony Xperia Honami, which should be equipped with a camera of 20 megapixels and quad core Snapdragon 800 processor with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz.
Meet the Xperia Z Ultra
The Xperia Z Ultra is a new phablet on the market. This giant from Sony has a 6.4-inch screen in full HD resolution. Consistent with previous rumors, Xperia Z Ultra is the manufacturer's first smartphone that uses the screen technology called Triluminous, which first appeared on the company's upper class HDTVs and later in ultrabooks.
Sony Xperia ZR
Xperia ZR is smaller, but not necessarily less advanced smartphone compared to the flagship Xperia Z. It brings a smaller screen with a diagonal of 4.6 inches with a resolution of 720p, but still retaines resistance to water and dust by the standards of IP55 and IP58.
Sony brings middle tier Xperias
Earlier this year Sony introduced a flagship smartphone called the Xperia Z, and now he's joined by two middle-class devices. The first is the Xperia SP driven by dual core processor with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz and 4.6 inch diagonal screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. All of this is put in a compact body made of aluminum. One of the most interesting informations is that SP will have support for LTE networks.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z unveiled
Sony unveiled the Xperia Tablet Z at the MWC in Barcelona. It is a 10.1 inch tablet based on a Snapdragon S4 with 2GB of RAM and a screen resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. The operating system is Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and Sony has announced an upgrade to 4.2 immediately after the launch.
Sony could release an Xperia Z tablet
After the smartphones presented at CES, Sony has a tablet from the Z Xperia product line in preparation. Official information on the specifications is still missing, but unofficial ones indicate a very competitive hardware worthy of the Xperia Z mark.
Sony Says, No Jelly Bean for some Xperia devices
Like it was not enough that they pretty much ruined the basic version of Android with their apps and add-ons like Walkman, now Sony has announced that some of their Xperia devices won’t even get a Jelly Bean upgrade. This will certainly be more than disappointing for their usersand they can’t do anything but hope that things will change later in 2013. However, until early 2013 no changes will be made. Some of the devices will not be getting the update at all.
