Western Digital recently announced the next generation of its top-selling My Passport line of portable hard drives, offering consumers a fresh new enclosure design and the first-ever 2 TB capacity in a portable drive. We were able to get our hands one of these 2 TB My Passport drives and put it to the test to see how easy it is to setup and how fast the hard drive inside is. Read on to see if this is the right portable product to backup and transport your critical data!

"Western Digital went with a black plastic casing on the My Passport 2TB that is adorned with a circular pattern and the WD logo and product name. The My Passport is rather small and measures in at just 111mm x 82mm x 21mm or 4.37" x 3.24" x 0.82" with a weight of eight ounces. This might sound large to some, but it isn't much bigger than an Apple iPhone 4S and easily fits in your pocket unless you are wearing skinny jeans..."
