Blackphone is here to secure users privacy

After numerous inscriptions and evidence about violations of privacy by the NSA, two companies have decided to fight back and produce safer smartphone.

The new smartphone, which should provide its users anonymity and protect their data is called Blackphone and will be presented next month at the Mobile World Congress. For now, there is no detailed information about the phone, it is known only that it is the joint product of the two companies Geeksphone and Silent Circle backed by Rodrigo Silva-Ramos and Phil Zimmermann.

Blackphone shpuld with use of embedded encryption enable secure communication and data storage, but also anonymous surfing and file sharing over the Internet using a VPN. The phone runs a special version of the Android operating system called PrivatOS.
