China Mobile, the Chinese telecom operator which is owned by the state, recently launched its very own 4G mobile network throughout China.

The head of the company Xi Guohua, during the opening ceremony  of the service noted that China Mobile in 2014 will sell about 100 million smartphones that support 4G mobile networks. In the next year they will increase investment in the stimulation of subscribers to increase their number.

During 2013, these investments have totaled $4.4 billion, while in the next year they should be even bigger. However, so far the majority of Chinese customers prefer to buy unlocked phones in stores, and only SIM cards from operators. China Mobile is currently China's largest telecom operator with 759 million users.
