Father of Android gives his place to chief of Chrome

Reading time is around minutes.
Rubin

It’s not a big secret that Google has come to the Android by the acquisition, and not by their own creation of a mobile operating system, but since the project began to develop in their plants, until now it has been led by Andy Rubin, who some consider to be the "father of Android."

Therefore, we were somewhat surprised that the news Rubin step down as a chief of one of the most successful projects of Google and will be replaced by the chief of Chrome Sundar Pichai, who will continue to run both Chrome and Android. This information was personally announced by the Google’s boss Larry Page, saying that Rubin made that decision by himself and will now begin a “new chapter in Google.”

Although Page did not say anything at all about what will Rubin work in the future, you might see him soon as the head of Google's X laboratory in which Google Glass glasses, neural networks, autonomous cars and space elevators are created, because any other position would be below his level, unless it is a completely new revolutionary project of Google.
