HP decided to further increase the total number of employees laid off by the end of 2014. According to the plan in September, the plan was the release of 29,000 people, and earlier in May they announced the release of 27,000 people.

According to new information that are confirmed by the HP, during the next 12 months period company will leave 34,000 employees, representing almost 11% of the total workforce. The reasons for dismissal are pressures of the market and the business, and most of the people out of the total number of planned releases already got fired. The plan of cost-cutting at HP has been in force since last year.

HP's position in the market for home computer users is weak, but the decline came in the business of the enterprise segment. The bright spots in the company's business are software and printers.
