Reading time is around minutes.

Google has paid one million euros fine handed down to him by the Italian Authority for the protection of privacy (Garant per la protezione dei give personali) after complaints that their cars used to capture the surrounding area for the Street View were not clearly marked.

The problem is related to recording conducted during 2010., when in some cases, Google's cars have not been fully recognizable, and in some situations, a person close to the car were not aware that they are being filmed.

Google points out that in the meantime they met all the requirements of the Italian regulatory authorities, and are clearly marked all the cars and published details of the areas on which the cars were filming in local media.
