Google has announced their financial results for the second quarter of 2013. They reported total revenues of $14.11 billion (an increase of 19% compared to the same period last year), of which $12.1 billion came directly from advertising services. Operating profit was also impressive, $3.23 billion U.S. dollars, compared to 2.79 billion from the last year.

Motorola's share of income in total income group is not negligible (998 million USD), but this division also recorded an operating loss of $342 million. Among other interesting facts mentioned in the press release, let us mention that Google currently has about 900 million active devices on Android with a growth of about 1.5 million per day, and Play store records more than 50 billion application downloads to date.

They also announced further investment in Google Glass, Google Fiber (introduction of optical fiber cables in the household in the U.S.), but also new Motorola products.
