Microsoft is all worked up about preparing upgrade of their operating system for smartphones based on Windows Phone 8.1 version, which should be available in early 2014.

The new version shoulbe beside the correction of errors bring a personal assistant that users will be controlling by voice commands. Previous versions of the Windows Phone operating system had support for basic voice commands, but the technology codenamed Cortana should represent a big step forward, because it will apparently learn and adapt to the user.

Once Microsoft Cortana becomes available it should be a direct competitor to Apple and Google and their services Siri and Google Now. Current test interface of Microsoft Cortana as well as currently supported options can be seen in the photos. If you wanna make sure that the Microsoft keeps the name Cortana feel free to cast your vote on their suggestions page here.
