During the presentation of financial results achieved during the last fiscal year, Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot confirmed that the next game in the Assassin's Creed series should debut by April next year at the latest. After five big sequels and a few supporting ones, it looks like Ubisoft will try to make some more money from this extremely popular franchise.

The game still has no official name. Yves has disclosed that more Ubisoft studios are working on the project. This is just as was the case in Assassin's Creed III, where the Ubisoft Montreal branch worked together with studios from Quebec, Kiev, Singapore and Bucharest. “It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin's Creed game.” Yves said.

Although he could not reveal anything concrete, Guillemot confirmed that the game will be set in a new time period and will follow an entirely new protagonist. One thing we can hope for is that they waiting for next generation consoles to launch so they can push the game this year, since they released one a year for last 4 years.
