New Nokia Asha with Whatsapp button

Reading time is around minutes.
Asha210

The latest Asha 210, which is available in versions with one or two SIM slots is the latest in a series of cheap QWERTY phones that comes with a dedicated button for a popular social app - before that we already had the opportunity to meet with the HTC ChaCha Facebook button and now Asha 210 comes with dedicated key for mega popular WhatsApp.

Cooperation between Nokia and WhatsApp did not stop at the key. Owners of Asha 210 can use WhatsApp service indefinitely, until they have the respective phone. New Asha should cost around 70 dollars, and here are some general specs. GSM/EDGE 900/1800 (Single and Dual SIM model), 850/1900 (Single SIM model), 2.4 inch QVGA (320×240) display in combination with a 2MP camera that has a button on front side of the phone, 64MB of memory and a microSD card slot and WiFi, EGPRS multi-slot class 32, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and microUSB port.

Interestingly, it was announced that in certain markets instead of green WhatsApp key new Asha 210 will have a blue Facebook button, but it is not yet specified which countries are concerned. Likewise, it will not be possible to assign a different function to the respective key. Asha 210 will be sold in the new Nokia models characteristic colors - yellow, cyan, black, magenta and white, and goes on sale in June.

[Ed - When I first saw the Asha I thought it looked like a colored Blackberry and jokingly called it the Nokia BB. I am not sure that this product is viable even with the WahtsApp button on it...]
