FlexyCore to help Google with advanced apps for KitKat

After Facebook recently acquired a company Onavo whose patents should accelerate and optimize applications for mobile platforms, Google for $16.9 million bought the French company FlexyCore, author of the DroidBooster applications, which improves the speed of execution of Android applications without increasing power consumption.

250 users banned from Wikipedia

Wikipedia editors have recently blocked more than 250 account used for editing the popular online encyclopedia through which they advertise various products and services on the Wikipedia. Owners of these accounts were paid for editing articles which is contrary to the fundamental principles on which Wikipedia was created. Apparently there are people who hire PR agencies to improve the reputation of individual companies through articles on Wikipedia.

53% increase in tablet deliveries

According to forecasts by Gartner this year tablet deliveries will increase by 53% , while the deliveries of desktop and notebook PCs will fall by 11%. Tablets of all manufacturers based on the Android operating system for the first time should overtake Apple's iPad product line. We can expect delivery of 91.5 million Android devices (49.6 %), compared to 89.6 million iPads shipped (or 48.6%). As for the tablets on a Windows operating system, it is expected that there will be more than 3 million units shipped, which gives them a 1.7% share.

When the leaks about how widespread the NSA’s surveillance is hit the news there was (and still is) talk about how much of an impact this would have on privacy. We all knew that having an agency that was able to dig into your online life like the NSA was not a good thing. What was less expected (although some talked about it) is the widespread effect on free speech, and also the economic impact in the form of people moving away from the internet and businesses closing down.
