Nokia could be preparing an Android phone for $110

Nokia's mobile phones based on Android, code-named Normandy, about which there have long been rumors spread, should supposedly become available later this month, and according to information published on the pages of one Vietnamese shop, the price will be around $100.

According to WMPoweruser, a device called the Nokia X A110 briefly appeared in the pages of Vietnamese Mainguyen online store, and the price was around $110. The device should be based on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), dual-core processor running at 1 GHz, have 4GB of storage space and 512 MB of memory, a slot for microSD card up to 32 GB, and a 5 megapixel camera. Lumia 525 which has similar specifications, on the same site is offered for $160.

Rumors of a Nokia mobile phone based on Android are present for several months. The device will apparently not have direct access to the Google Play, but will use the services developed by Nokia and Microsoft, including Here Maps and Mix Radio. Nokia is also set to launch their own application store for Android, which will offer applications such as Skype, Facebook, Twitter, and various others. Nokia should hold a press conference in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress on February 24th when it is believed that they will present the company's mobile phones based on Android.
