Since information that Microsoft makes smartphone with competitive OS can be confusing, it should be emphasized that the Nokia X will come with the so called "forked" version of Android.
It is the operating system that is based on the source code of Android, but significantly altered by independent developers. In the case of the Nokia X, the user interface will remind you of Windows Phone, and it is very likely that this smartphone will not be able to install apps from the Google Play store.
