The two million mark was reached on 11th December which was only 18 days after the start of sales. According to official information, the Xbox One record sales in November made it the best-selling console in the United States. As the console is sold out at many retailers, the company is struggling to meet the demands of the market, but they eill do it as quickly as possible, they say.
For comparison, the Sony on 3rd December announced that the PlayStation 4 sold 2.1 million copies. More recent data is not available.

From Microsoft officially announced that by the end of the 2013 they total delivered well over three million copies of Xbox One to 13 markets in which it was possible to buy a console.
