While most publishers work their asses off so their games could be among the first titles available for the new generation of consoles, Konami has casually announced that the next Pro Evolution Soccer will skip PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and stays true to the actual current generation of consoles.

Konami is not sure how quickly the players will accept the new hardware, and estimate that it is better to wait for some time. In addition, the development team wants to try out their new engine before they perform a leap to the next generation consoles.

Although Konami's thinking makes sense, since the current consoles have the player base of more than 150 million, the question is whether will this bypassing  of the new consoles, which will at the end of the year certainly be the main theme for conversation of all gamers, push PES series to the very limit of obscurity.
