Rajeev Suri to take Elop's place

Written by

Reading time is around minutes.

After last week merging of Nokia Devices and Services department to Microsoft was finished, and former CEO Stephen Elop departure from company, Chief Executive Officer place remained vacant. Now the Finnish company announced that they have appointed the current Executive Director of division for Solutions and Nokia Networks, a 46 -year-old Rajeev Suri as their new CEO.

This is a logical move from Nokia's administration, since the NSN department will now become a key part of the company around which the majority of their business will revolve around. Nokia after sale of their business with mobile phones will switch their focus to network equipment, mapping, and the development of new network technologies.

Rajeev Suri is working in this company for 20 years, and the job of executive director of NSN was his since October 2009. From this position he achieved considerable success, and it is expected from him to continue with such performances. His appointment is in line with Nokia's vision to become a leader in services that until now have been under the jurisdiction of his former department, Solutions and Networks.
