Spotify starts free music streaming service

Written by

Reading time is around minutes.

Subscription streaming music service Spotify will soon launch a new free service for streaming music, which will be financed through advertising.

The new service, still without a name will be similar to the service of personalized radio service Pandora and will offer a certain limited number of songs that can be listened to at the user's request. In order to improve the quality of the service, Spotify's representatives licensed content from three music publishers, they are Sony, Vivendi and Warner Music.

Spotify is a company based in Sweden, which currently has more than 20 million users who pay a monthly subscription. Of course this new free service could attract even more new customers.
