2K’s NBA 2K13 making franchise record sales

As expected the 2K Sport's basketball simulation has started to sell like crazy and has already set a record sales for this franchise. Another NBA Live cancelled

Basketball fans will have to wait until the next year before the new NBA Live game will reach their hands. This is an example that making games is not a simple job, especially big games like NBA Live. EA sports Executive VP Andrew Wilson stated on their official website “But making great games is not easy, and we're just not there yet on NBA LIVE 13. Having continued to look at the game over the past few days, it's clear that we won't be ready in October. And rather than launch midway through the season, we're going to sit out the full year and stay focused on making next year’s game great.“.

There could be good news for gamers as EA (formerly known as Electronic Arts) has agreed to a settlement in the Anti-Trust case over their exclusive deal with the NFL, NCAA, and AFL. Although all of the details are not known what we do know is that EA is agreeing to end their exclusive deal with the AFL and allow their agreement with the NCAA to expire in 2014. On top of these EA will pay $27 Million in compensation to consumers that bought any of these titles and will not seek another exclusive deal for five years. What is missing here is any mention of their exclusive deal with the NFL. Why this critical piece of the puzzle is being left out we are not sure.
