Samsung achiveing great numbers

We all knew that Samsung is doing great, but without some official financial information to back this up it's hard to tell exactly how great. According to the recently published estimates of performance in the first quarter of this year, Samsung has produced about 7.75 billion operating profit which is huge 45% more than in the same quarter last year.
HTC did not infringe Nokia’s patents
HTC and Android in general emerged as the winners in a patent dispute in Germany, which was launched by Nokia against the company The court in Mannheim ruled that HTC did not violate Nokia's two disputed patents, marked EP0812120, which describes a technology called “Method for using services offered by a telecommunication network and telecommunication system, and a terminal for it”, and EP1312974 entitled “An electronic display Device and method of lighting control themselves.”
Photoshop for mobile devices

Photoshop is now available to users of mobile phones with Android or iOS operating systems. The new application name is Photoshop Touch, in relation to the version for tablet devices; the interface is changed, while the functionality remains pretty much the same.
China leads the way in smartphones

It is expected that China will end this month with 246 million active "smart" mobile phones and tablets based on Android and iOS, while in the U.S. there will be around 230 million, according to the market research company Flurry. For comparison, in late January in the U.S. there was 222 million "smart" devices, while in China was 221 million, again according to Flurry.
Tegra 4 coming soon

nVidia will officially present the next generation of Tegra SoC for mobile devices at the upcoming CES in January next year. It is a Tegra 4 chip codenamed Wayne and SoC solutions codenamed Grey with integrated 3G and LTE modems intended for cheaper mobile devices in the middle market segment. The latter will have ARM Cortex-A9 cores in the 4+1 configuration similar to Tegra 3.
Flextronics buys Motorola's factories

Motorola Mobility sold off their factories for manufacturing mobile handsets in China and Brazil to Flextronics. Flextronics is headquartered in Singapore and is one of the world's major OEM manufacturers of electronics. Until now they have cooperated with Motorola Mobility. Back in May of 2012 Google bought Motorola Mobility for around $12.5 billion, and since then Google has been downsizing Motorola's operations.

Facebook is negotiating over the purchase of the company behind the IM application WhatsApp. Details of the agreement are not known so far, but it is known that Facebook sees this mobile technology as the "next big thing".
