The famous eBay just bought startup company Decide based in the Seattle for an unknown amount. Decide offers users market research services to help them decide what is the best buy option before the purchase.

After eBay CEO, John Donahoe, announced that the company will use mobile technology to be more involved in the "offline" business, eBay has introduced a project with four physical shop window in which they present a fashion collection by Kate Spade.

Almost everyone is familiar with eBay, the online auction/retail site where consumers can go to bid on or purchase almost anything, ranging from paperclips and toast that looks like Elvis to houses and cars. Ebay offers a place to sell collectables, odds and ends, and various one of a kind products that are nigh impossible to come by elsewhere. A key feature of eBay is its close integration with PayPal, which offers buyers an added level of protection against fraud.

It looks like none of the big companies can avoid the trend of releasing their workers. Now it's PayPal's turn and they intend to cut around 3% of the workforce, making it up to 400 jobs. This is an idea coming from PayPal's president David Marcus in the hope that it will help reorganize the payment company and cut additional costs. The cuts will have the biggest impact on the product and technology groups and will be taking place in the next few weeks. PayPal currently has around 13,000 employees.

After seventeen years the famous shopping website has decided that they should change their old logo and replace it with a new, more professional one. The old logo has been here since 1995 when the company was founded as a set-time auction shopping site. Up until now they have had their 4 color letters overlapping one another and in different sizes, but the new logo looks a lot more linear and pretty modern I would say. It represents “a global online marketplace that offers a cleaner, more contemporary and consistent experience, with innovation that makes buying and selling easier and more enjoyable.” according to eBay Global Marketplaces President, Devin Wenig.

Today if you want to buy something, you can be almost 100% you will find it on ebay. But from August 30th you wont be able to find anything that is declared as “magic“, “psychic readings“, or “prayers“. Right now you are probably thinking who would even want to buy stuff like this, but there are all sorts of people, and obviously there are some that are exploiting that. So this is the last month you will be able to buy items like “advice“, “spells“, “curses“, “hexing“, “conjuring“, “blessing services“, “magic potions“ etc. Even though all of these sound a lot Skyrimish they can be found all over eBay at the moment.
