All good things must come to an end. In April of 2013 we published an article that Apple and their iOS based devices would begin to slide in 2016. It was in response to a survey/analysis claiming that Apple would reclaim the crown from Google by 2016 and dominate through 2018. For some reason the technical and financial press were jumping at the announcement for Windows phone 8.x. The fact that Windows phone held a single digit market share at the time did not seem to matter to them.

Destiny says no to early review copies

It would seem that the new Bungie game, Destiny, is one of the most highly anticipated game that has come along in some time. Microsoft cuts Windows 8.x prices by up to 70%

It seems that Windows 8.x is not selling as well as Microsoft would like it to. After boasting about how game changing the new OS would be for end users, the only game that seems to be changing is Microsoft’s revenue stream. Just before the new OS came out we talked about the impact of Windows 8 on OEMs especially with Microsoft entering into direct competition.
