The third generation of Intel ultrabooks, based on the Haswell processors, will be available to customers in three price categories. Ultrabooks based on Intel's concept so far mainly belonged to the upper market segment, while the division into categories could make choice easier on customer, and help manufacturers to increase sales.

Under such plans, the initial price range between $600 and $800 will be presented by the classical form of laptops with the Core i3 processors and integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics, a 500 gigabyte drive and a hybrid battery capable of providing eight hours of work. Middle segment offers devices with prices between $800 and $1,000 should consist of a type of hybrid design (tablet with a detachable keyboard), equipped with Core i5 processors and HD 5100 graphics processor and SSD capacity 128 GB. Devices in this category will have some additional features such as high-definition cameras, stereo microphones and various sensors.

Finally, the device categories with prices above $ 1,000 will also be primarily a hybrid design with a Core i7 processor (GPU Intel HD 5100) and the SSD's capacity of 250 GB. Ultrabooks in all three categories should weigh below 2.5 kg and possess a screen diagonal between 11.6 and 15 inches, while the support for WiDi and at least 4 GB of DDR3 memory are a part of the standard equipment.
