Now that we have taken a look at most of the rest of the P8Z77 line up we are going to check out what was originally the flagship for the mid-range line the P8Z77-V Deluxe. Earlier today Asus announced and addition to the P8Z77 line which puts this right below the top-end. That does not take anything away from the –V Deluxe with its USB 3.0 Boost, Dual Band WiFi Go (with Bluetooth), SLI and Crossfire support and more. We will be taking a deeper look at the performance very soon, but for now let’s see what Asus has packed into the P8Z77-V Deluxe and if it is worth the $275 that it will cost you.

You knew we were going to do this eventually (after all we told you we would) so here we go with a complete review (performance numbers) of the Asus Maixmus V Gene with our Core i7 3770K running the same group of tests we do normally, but this time using the Consumer Preview of Windows 8 for our operating system. After seeing what new features Asus is bringing to the table with the Maximus V Gene (and there are a ton of them) we now get to dive into the performance side of things and see what we have. As the gateway product to the ROG lineup the Maximus V Gene has a lot to live up to, but with everything that Asus has thrown into it we are sure it can handle the pressure. Gigabyte is kicking out some information on their upcoming lineup of 7 Series motherboards. These new boards are the 4th generation of their Ultra Durable series which has driven them to the number one spot for motherboard durability. Although not the first to get the word out about their Z77 products, Gigabyte has not actually shipped any boards to the press at this time. However, we have been fortunate enough to get some information on what features you can expect from this new generation of products from Gigabyte.

EVGA has built a name for itself inside the community of overclockers, gamers and other enthusiasts. Although they do not have the same volume as Gigabyte or Asus, they still put out some of the top boards when it comes to overclocking and performance. In fact as of this writing an EVGA Classified SR-2 Motherboard holds the number one slot in Futuremark’ s 3DMark 11 Hall of Fame. Unfortunately we do not have a Classified SR-2 in the shop for testing, but we do have an EVGA X79 FTW (151-SE-E777). This board features a matte black PCB, five PCI3 x16 slots and a lot more.
