Broadwell Delayed One Quarter Due to Technical Issues

It looks like Intel will be delaying their next CPU core, Broadwell by at least one quarter. The reason for this delay has been listed as a technical difficulties. What these difficulties are we have not been able to identify, but it is possible that the 14nm process could be part of the equation. Intel showed Broadwell working at IDF which is good news, but it is still possible that there are minor problems with yields that put things behind schedule.

MT8121 is a new cheap quad core from MediaTek

MediaTek is a Taiwanese company that is famous mostly for making cheap SoC solutions that are implemented in most of the device coming from eastern markets. The latest product with a label MT8121 is a quad core chip that is designed for installation in tablets belonging to the lower price range, and costing up to $99.

D-Link Flaw Exists in Many Common Residential and SOHO Routers

Yesterday we wrote about a disturbing flaw in some D-Link routers that allow for a malicious individual to access it without a username or password. Shortly after we published the article we were reminded that this flaw does not just exist in D-Link hardware, but is also present in devices from many other companies that have SOHO and Residential products. The string for each might be different and in some cases harder to gain access to, but it is there.
