The Asus ROG Ares II card is based on two AMD's graphics processor Radeon HD 7970 Edition GHz (a total of 4096 stream processors), each of which works at 1050 MHz with the option of overclocking. The card has a total of 6 GB of GDDR5 memory as well. Asus paid a great attention to the quality of design  for the power chips for stable operation and superior performance - a 20-phase power supply has Digi + voltage control and high quality components. Customers will also need a stronger power supply to run this monster since Ares II asks you to plug in three 8-pin power connectors to work.
 
Particular attention was devoted to the cooling design for the two Tahiti chips, so the Ares II has a hybrid cooling air fan with a smaller one (80 mm) on the card itself and the water block for the closed water cooling refrigerator equipped with two 120 mm fans. This approach allows significantly lower operating temperatures and increased potential for overclocking - the card is stable under continuous full load, and the standard temperature is 31 degrees Celsius cooler than comparable Nvidia's GeForce GTX 690. The exact date of the start of sales and the card price Asus will announce soon.
