HTC to create smartphones for Amazon?
According to the findings of the Financial Times, Amazon and HTC are working together on development of a Kindle smartphone. There should be a total of three models that will appear on the market next year.
MT8121 is a new cheap quad core from MediaTek
MediaTek is a Taiwanese company that is famous mostly for making cheap SoC solutions that are implemented in most of the device coming from eastern markets. "Smart" phones surpass the regular ones

According to data from Gartner agency which deals with market analysis, smart phones for the first time surpassed the sale of ordinary "dummy" telephones. Until recently, plain old phones still held top sales, but by the second quarter of this year, smart phones have taken the lead in sales. During the second quarter, sales of smart phones reached 225 million units, which is 46.5% more than in the same quarter last year.
HP will produce smartphones once again

HP in collaboration with Taiwanese manufacturers of electronic components cooperate on the development of smartphones, according to DigiTimes. Stories of HP's return to production pf smartphones are circulating for some time, and plans were also indicted by company's director Meg Whitman in an interview with Fox Business Network in September last year.

HTC is satisfied with the sales results of their flagship smartphone One. Unnamed company's manager for the Wall Street Journal said that so far they have sold about 5 million units HTC One.

According to the recently published estimates of performance in the first quarter of this year, Samsung has produced about 7.75 billion operating profit which is huge 45% more than in the same quarter last year.
