Android 5.0 for Samsung S3 and S4 but not for S2
Android 5.0 codenamed Key Lime Pie should be launched in May. Apparently, if you believe the sources of SamMobile, Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II will get the upgrade to the new OS. However for bunch of their devices Android 4.2.2 will be the final version.
Samsung Galaxy S4 is here
The long-awaited presentation of Samsung Galaxy S4 finally happened. Samsung in New York officially unveiled their new model about which we already knew a lot of details due to soany leaks of information on it lately.
Benchmark results for Galaxy S IV?
The screenshot below shows the results of NenaMark2 benchmark that was performed on a device named Samsung SCH-I545. Connoisseurs of these benchmarks will know that the Galaxy S III arrived on the market labeled SCH-I535, so this is for all lovers of rumors and leaked information on the Internet more than clear evidence of how the device labeled SCH-I545 indicates that it is actually the new Galaxy S IV.
Samsung marks 100 million Galaxy S devices sold
Samsung is reporting new successes with their Galaxy S line of smartphones. According to Samsung's official data, they have sold a total of 100 million Galaxy S smartphones worldwide. Remember that Note and Note 2 are not part of the Galaxy S series.
Samsung Galaxy S4 looks to the Note series for new features
The Samsung Galaxy S IV will be unveiled in April, according to multiple sources close to the Korean manufacturer. The biggest news in relation to the current edition will be the S Pen stylus that will be shipped with the device. With this Galaxy S line should get one of the biggest advantages of the devices from the Galaxy Note line.
Samsung Premium Suite
Samsung has prepared a number of new features for the Galaxy S III in the form of an upgrade named Premium Suite. Installing the suite will get you the Buddy Page, a function that will trigger an action or to start the desired application, depending on what you make with the phone. For example, The Buddy can automatically launch the music player when the user plugs their headphones, something I would like to see on all other phones as well, nothing worse than when someone calls you while you listen to music, and then when you plug the earphones (I don’t use earphones with mic) back again the music does not start automatically.
Samsung Galaxy S3 sold in over 30 million copies
In May of this year Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S III smartphone, which has so far sold 30 million copies! By comparison, during the same period in 2011, the previous model Galaxy S II sold over ten million copies. Obviously it's no coincidence that many techies and common users like to give it the title of the best smartphone available.
Jelly Bean update coming to The Galaxy S3 Soon... Just Not Yet
Even though the international (Austria, Spain, France and Romania) Galaxy S3 owners already have gotten the update for their device to latest Android software, US owners will have to wait a bit more. According to Samsung, the update will be rolled out in the coming months, but they didnt want to give specific dates. For more information customers will have to wait for the announcements from their carriers. The main problem with new Android versions is that companies like Samsung prefer to add something unique like their TouchWiz, so it takes longer to get the latest updates for this custom operating systems.
Samsung Galaxy S III Mini leaked
As Samsung is preparing to make an official announcement about their new Mini device a few details have already leaked [which is pretty much the patter these days]. German website mobilegeeks.de released some of the details and pictures of the device. According to them, the device will have a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with 800x480 WVGA resolution; it will run on a 1 GHz dual core STE U8420 processor and have 5 megapixel rear and VGA-resolution front camera. It will feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Samsung's Touch wiz.
Samsung promises to make an impact on the Windows 8 market
Just as they conquered the Android world, or maybe even the whole smartphone market with their Galaxy S3, Samsung wants to do the same with Windows 8. On their invite with the “Framing The Future” catchphrase we can see two notebooks, and from the first look they will definitely try to make a good first impression with its thickness and neat design. The event will take place at the Museum and maybe that's just a hint from Samsung that they intend to do (or bring) something revolutionary.
