Sony has a new Management unit created by merging the company's departments of Japan and Asia. The move is part of the company's restructuring to unify operations and reduce costs and duplication.
Sprint Users, Rejoice!

Sprint has been purchased by the Japanese firm Softbank, as announced in a joint press meeting with the CEOs of both companies. Softbank will be purchasing 70% of the shares of Sprint for the staggering sum of $20.1 Billion dollars. This large chunk of change will directly revitalize Sprint, the underdog, when compared to Verizon or AT&T. Softbank, one of the larger mobile communication firms in Japan will gain access to the American market, which is less mature than the Japanese mobile market.
Karma pays a visit to AT&T
Karma is a bitch they say and there are times when that is perfectly the case. The FCC was blocked from enforcing a level of net neutrality and also in its attempts to prevent carriers and ISPs overstepping their bounds as service providers. The block came from some of the heavyweights in the industry with AT&T being one of the gang that jumped the FCC and made statements to the effect that the FCC had no authority to enforce any regulations.
