Free Windows 9 Upgrade Rumors Might Be Way Over Stated
As the clock ticks down to today’s “launch” of Microsoft’s next operating system the rumors are ramping up along with the articles about what Microsoft must do to make the next flavor of Windows work. One of the latest rumors to hit the streets is that Windows 9 (or whatever it will be called) will be free if you have Windows 8.x installed legally. These rumors started to circulate a couple of weeks ago, but now there is an alleged confirmation from the president of Microsoft Indonesia, Andreas Diantoro.
New Synolocker Ransomware Targets unpatched Synology NAS devices running older versions of DSM
One of the biggest issues in security is not the number of bad guys out there or the number of zero day exploits that exist in the wild. Sadly it is that far too many companies and people do not update their devices and software. Now I know that it is a pain to run updates on every device you own, but in most cases these updates are important. This is the case we find with the recent brouhaha over a version of cryptolocker (SynoLocker) that appears to target Synology NAS devices with an older (and unpatched) version of Disk Station Manager (DSM).
Will the Next Battlefield will be something completely new?
Earlier this week across the internet rumors have spread about the new Battlefield that suggested a new game named Battlefield Hardline and that it will be delivered by the creative minds behind Dead Space games - Visceral Games. Leaked info about the Windows 9 release date and more
According to a document which was obtained and published by the team from Myce.com , one can glimpse the expected release date of Windows 9. This is a leak of an internal Microsoft document setting out the plans of the company for the future, and among them is the info that Windows 9 will arrive on the market during the second or third quarter of next year, at least the Preview version. We have also learned that the product is currently in alpha stage of development.
Microsoft OneDrive gets an update to improve the user experience
Users of the OneDrive cloud storage services in the coming days will get a new version of the mobile application, as well as some improvements in the Web interface. Microsoft has responded to user comments and advices, and in this service installed a few minor improvements that should facilitate the daily work.

From presentation of Windows 8 to version 8.1 upgrade, it was necessary to wait a whole year. The first major upgrade for Windows 8.1 came in just four months. Next update is supposedly coming in August, sources say.
Sailfish OS update 5 is released
The new update for Sailfish operating system comes under a very catchy name Paarlampi or the code number 1.0.5.16. Like every other operating system upgrade, this one brings fixes for identified bugs and some new possibilities. Sailfish OS now supports two-way sync of Exchange contacts, and you can now specify the account that will be the "default" for emailing.
